WHAT THEY WANTED


Take two established ‘vlogging’ entities who need a space in their homes to be creative in, then add one incredibly creative team with a super duper vision and let them loose in IKEA…

This was all part of our social media collaboration with global agency Isobar, director Daniel Morgan and interior stylist Aurelien Farjon – another way to help showcase IKEA’s talent at transforming small unloved spaces with their clever storage solutions and brilliant minds.

Working closely with vlogging couple Hannah & Stefan Michalak, and jewellery vlogger Kate Murnane we needed to understand what we could add to their lives that would make their everyday more wonderful.

WHAT WE DID


Spent weeks working through designs and carefully hand-picking product in order to transform their box rooms into the best rooms in their houses.

For the Michalaks we converted their attic room into a dual purpose office space, with room to allow creativity to flow and ideas to blossom. Having filmed the transformation over a time-lapse recording, we then captured their reaction as they saw IKEA turn their wishes into reality. For Kate we gave her somewhere to run her business from, with a place to store and package her designs and even her own mini photography space for her Instagram feed.

These exciting box room challenge films are to promote the competition element to the campaign, in which IKEA are offering one lucky winner the chance to have their own box room transformed… and with over 1 million views of each film in the first 24 hours of being live, we have no doubt that the competition entries are flooding in!
