WHAT THEY WANTED
With the aim of the film to showcase ‘wardrobe essentials’, the GQ and Burton Menswear teams had Jamie Redknapp signed up to give GQ readers his run down on the latest trends from the brand and the AW17 season. Known for his sharp suits whilst presenting on Sky Sports, we needed to film Jamie in an array of wardrobe staples that would demonstrate Burton Menswear have product every man should have in their wardrobe. The film would then accompany Jamie’s interview with GQ Style’s Fashion Director, Elgar Johnson.
WHAT WE DID
We planted ourselves in a slick London pad for the day and followed Jamie’s daily routine as he selected outfits for various occasions, and talked us through his favourite pieces. The end result was a two-minute film that went out on GQ’s website, accompanying his editorial interview given for GQ Style’s followers. Titled ‘The Autumn Edit’, the film was then subsequently cut down into an additional series of shorter film versions for specific social media channels, which gave detail on where and when to wear Jamie’s featured items. The films were then overlaid with Jamie’s voice giving his style advice, adding another level of integrity and personable feel to the brand.
